In 2003, a charitable giving arm, the Turbine Fund (now, the LDM Fund) with a mandate to “Empower Women Through Education, Support, and Example,” was formed.  The Turbine Fund supports numerous charity events through Turbine product donations, sponsorships, public speaking engagements, and volunteering.

The net proceeds of the annual Fall Showcase via the Turbine/LDM Fund are donated to women’s charities.  Preference is shown to lesser know local organizations that receive little to no government funding and could benefit from what has become Canada’s largest fashion show presented by an individual designer, showcasing more than 350 new pieces for audiences of up to 500.  Though the Turbine Fall Showcase is not a fundraiser, rather a marketing tool with a charitable component, through this event alone more than $240,000 has been netted and donated in cash to local charities.

During a solo journey to India in 2012 where Lisa stayed with local people, she spoke to college students about entrepreneurship, visited orphanages, met with weavers and farmers, and upon returning home, formed the Turbine India Project.  Through ongoing in-store promotions, donations from keynotes and presentations about her travels and with the help of a few close friends, has since provided 64 young women from the slums of India with full tuition and room and board to Paramedical College in Hyderabad, India.
